Before:
After:
It took approximately 15 hours to paint the cabinets. It was tedious, and the oil based primer can still be seen on various parts of my body. I did one coat of primer, two to three coats of paint and a coat of polycrylic. Inside and out. But it was worth it! The picture makes them look very white, but they are actually a darker cream color. (Same color as my bathroom vanity)
AND, a new kitchen table and chairs (which cost a grand total of $30!):
And I know I said I was going to paint the kitchen yellow, but the yellow and the cream don't look so hot together. So green it stays. The cream makes me like the green so much more.
I have several more projects I would like to complete in this kitchen. Maybe I'll be done in three or fours years ;)
The cabinets look great! It really brightens up the room.

Looks so good! I've never actually seen the inside of your house, but I'm sure it looks even better than it did before. And freaking awesome job on finding that table and chair set!!! I'm so impressed!

You may not remember me, but I am Melanie's mom. She always speaks so highly of you and I love your comments and pics. Your insight, writing and talents in general are impressive. Hope everything is going "good". Okay that was not meant as a pun, but I will leave it just the same.
