Fall

Just for starters...

In case certain members of my family have forgotten, my birthday is coming up here in a few weeks:)

This is a shoot sac. And I am pretty sure I need it. Because my current camera bag just doesn't hack it.

This would be an 85 mm f/1.8 prime lens. And oh how I need it, and want it, and am pretty sure I can't live another minute without it.

And this would be a 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. And it's on sale. And I think it needs to be in my camera bag. The one listed at the top ;)

I am sure you were all planning to spend several hundred dollars on me, right? So just go pick up one of the three. Whichever one you want, you choose.

Having fun with photoshop

I've been trying to learn a few more "tricks" lately. I love what photoshop can do. For example in this photo there was originally a little boy walking next to the lake, behind Jacky to the right:

Fixing that photo became more about me being stubborn than about me wanting to give Mike and Jacky a good photo. It took me a couple of hours to get it right!

Today I learned how to do some antiquing and tinting. This is the before picture:



and here is the after:



Doesn't Jake have the sweetest smile? He was insistent that I take his picture over and over (and over and over). I would also like to point out that photoshop allowed me to pretend that he actually had a clean face when I took these, rather than dirt and food and you know what.

{GOOD} Photography

It's been a dream of mine for years to be a "real" photographer. But I've always put it off, telling myself I still had so much to learn. While that may be true, the best way to learn is practice, right?

I have decided to offer promotional photo sessions for $50. A session would be 60-90 minutes, and include a CD with 25-35 edited images.
